Exploring Whats Local

As many of you know, I have transformed into a biking freak this summer. I have really enjoyed road biking and mountain biking. I like each of them for specific and different reasons. However, I love both of them because they keep me outdoors! The last 2 saturdays i have spent every sunny moment outdoors. Here are some pics-

Saturday 1-

Hike to Donut Falls
Hiking to Donut Falls was the second event of a very eventful saturday 2 weeks ago. Earlier that day i played in a softball game and after hiking to the falls, i rode my road bike 20 miles south to swim in a pool for the rest of the day. Oh it was heaven!

Saturday 2-

I have been putting more time in with the mountain bike lately...its nicer getting up to the cooler temperatures up the canyons. This particular saturday i started with a 3 mile mountain ride up Clarks Trail near the Draper Temple with my dear friend Megan. Then we hit up the pool for a lazy afternoon, only for me to relax enough to do another big mountain ride in Big Cottonwood Canyon with Julie and Shannon up puke hill and across the wasatch crest! I love these trails--do you see why!?!

At the top of Puke Hill (looking out towards Park City)

Coming Down Wasatch Crest & and Mill D North Trail
(I love the Alpine Trees and the perfect dirt packed trail makes it a nice ride!)

Nokia 6030

This is my phone. It doesn't do squat. It can't take pictures or play music, it doesnt have bluetooth, and it doesn't have any cool ring tones. This phone is a brick, most of you are thinking...."Man, That phone is so old skool!" 'Cuz it is. But, let me remind you its not as old school as Zack Morris' cell phone on Saved by the Bell. Unfortunately, people may look at me weird and question my style when it comes to technology.....My phone is 3 years old. But let me tell ya' this lil'dang phone....has been places! To Hawaii and Graduation...from Disneyland to the worst blind date ever....this phone hasn been thru it all with me. And it keeps going....I am proud to report I can still go 3 days without charging it! SO beat that, iphone! Boo YaH!

"I'll say a lil' prayer for you, for eva and ever.."

You know there is good in the world when you hear the word "prayer" in everyday conversation. I really feel that phrases such as: "I will pray for you", "I have been praying for you", "I am praying for you" are some of the most precious things to hear. I seriously (seriously) love when people share that they are praying for eachother. When people are best friends or sometimes the worst of enemies, prayer always can unite people. Thank you to all the people who have prayed for me, I hope you know I pray for you too!

I should be studying right now....

Studying? I havent studied for a year and a half. Homework? That word isnt in my vocabulary these days....BUT...to become a liscensed architect I have to take 7 tests and complete 3 years of internship...so I am back to the books. I take my first test on saturday and I will be honest, I am scared. I picked the scariest sounding one to take first: STRUCTURES. It is difficult studying when the exciting events of singledom get in my way...but, among my new years resolutions and goals (one of which is to get my roommate married) is to take all my exams. So wish me luck, and pray that I come out alive....Saturday my first test starts at 8 am...and its a 5-1/2 hr long test. Holy Crap....this is the real deal!
