A Reason to Rhyme, for its Scrapbooking Time!
the tree is lit up so bright!
Everything seems to say its that time of year...
by jolly you just might be right!
But something's amiss...it just doesnt seem right...
till Tyson calls you up in the night!
What could it be, that he needs in such haste?
SCRAPBOOKING supplies, for him to paste!
For the man that he is, he just won't admit
All he needs for Christmas is a Scrapbooking Kit!
You settle his mind,
and get him out of his bind.
Tis the season for sharing, and apparently scrapbooking too.
Its past my bedtime, and I am out of Ryhme.
Sweet holiday dreams to all of you, for it truly is the christmas season,
when Tyson is scrapbooking for very good reason!
SIDE NOTE:
Dear Santa,
Please give Tyson some scrapbooking supplies this year!
Yours Truly,
Rachel

Santa's Silly Elves

http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/Ci3cYFwV04LohodmCFU5
I just spent the afternoon with my favorite girls from EG. We did the normal girly stuff....
1. We ate a whole ROAST dinner! Complete with potatoes and carrot goodness.
(Shout out to Em's Mom for providing the goods, and for Em-cooking the goods!)
2. Not soon after our roast meal, we ate a whole plate of brownies....well that might have just been Em and I.
3. We engaged in good conversation.
4. We watched a chick flick.
5. We participated in an entertaining game. ;)
6. But, most of all I think we all went to bed with good memories and a renewed sisterhood we all needed!
Here's to the Girls of EG! Today was a BLAST, as always!
P.S. Please note our dancing skills in our elfyourself performance. I, for one, can shimmy...I am pretty proud of that since I practice every day in front of my mirror, it was a tough perfomance to pull off, but I feel pretty good about it!

Its me Rachel. I have been a very good girl this year, I promise! I have worked really hard, and played nicely. I made my bed today...and my closet is decently organized (do not refer to picture below in my earlier post). All I want for christmas is...
1. A Specialized road bike
2. A bag of ranch flavored corn-nuts (my fav!) w/ a Diet Coke
3. World Peace
4. And, of course a Hippopatamus!
Best regards to your lil elves,

09.18.09 Business Golf 101- How to stay in a moving golf cart, or not…
How to stay in a moving golf cart, or not…
I attended my first work-based golf tournament today in 3 sentences this is a summary of what I discovered:
1. It is possible for a golf club to get better distance than the golf ball
2. It is best to stay inside a moving golf cart going at full speed, and
3. Apparently, when girls make fools of themselves it is termed as, “Endearing.”
What an adventure! I will not share all the embarrassing details but you may like to know that my coworkers got me roped into this little shindig mainly on the grounds of 1 purpose….cute boy. I, on the other hand, agreed to participate not for the cute boy per se, but because “hey, this is free 18 holes, I want to get better at my game, and I got to break into the business world of golf someday, why not today!?!”
So YES, my 9 iron slipped straight out of my hands as I practiced my swing on the driving range. AND, I did fall out of the moving golf cart as I leaned over to pick up a ball while my coworker drove with the pedal to the meta.l (FYI: he did, without notice, turn sharply.)
BUT, never before have I laughed so hard, cried so much, rolled on the ground at such a great force thinking only my coworkers were spectators…when at the end of the day I learned, THE CUTE BOY SAW IT ALL J
the comforting words my coworkers led me to foolishly believe, is that seeing a silly red-headed girl fly out of a golf cart, is nothing but “ENDEARING!”
The real reward of the day really was seeing my coworkers laugh so hard at such silly events at my expense, no less.
I can have a bad day
But the outlook is always great and I do have hope for clearer skies! I was reminded by a dear wise friend just yesterday, that our lives and our hearts are pieced together and eventually like a patchwork quilt of many pieces - it will all come together and be beautiful. I will look back on this past year with gratitude for the many times I fell and for the friends who continually picked me up and kept me pieced together...thanks.
