Despite all the upside downs this years has offered....its really been a memorable and fun year! 2008 was super great!

Why I love Neil. I love Neil Diamond because of his voice! His voice is honest. It cracks...its not perfect, but that is what makes me love it. Its real. Its hard to describe...but it just kinda melts me.

Last year I went to my roomates' office christmas party. There, they had a Neil Diamond cover band! I had so much fun at the party that i realized I needed to go to a live concert. My friends just laugh at my infatuation, but I figure its now or never. My dearest friend Jean went with me, and we had the time our lives. I dont want to rub it in too much, because I know you are all jealous you didnt come with us. We had to drive in the worst utah weather this year to get there, but it was well worth it cuz the concert WAS AWESOME!

John Denver and Neil Diamond are now crossed off my bucket list....Im trying to think who is next....any suggestions?

A Reason to Rhyme, for its Scrapbooking Time!

The snow if falling, the fire is going....
the tree is lit up so bright!

Everything seems to say its that time of year...
by jolly you just might be right!

But something's amiss...it just doesnt seem right...
till Tyson calls you up in the night!

What could it be, that he needs in such haste?
SCRAPBOOKING supplies, for him to paste!

For the man that he is, he just won't admit
All he needs for Christmas is a Scrapbooking Kit!

You settle his mind,
and get him out of his bind.

Tis the season for sharing, and apparently scrapbooking too.
Its past my bedtime, and I am out of Ryhme.

when Tyson is scrapbooking for very good reason!

I just spent the afternoon with my favorite girls from EG. We did the normal girly stuff....

1. We ate a whole ROAST dinner! Complete with potatoes and carrot goodness.

(Shout out to Em's Mom for providing the goods, and for Em-cooking the goods!)

2. Not soon after our roast meal, we ate a whole plate of brownies....well that might have just been Em and I.

3. We engaged in good conversation.

4. We watched a chick flick.

5. We participated in an entertaining game. ;)

6. But, most of all I think we all went to bed with good memories and a renewed sisterhood we all needed!

Here's to the Girls of EG! Today was a BLAST, as always!

P.S. Please note our dancing skills in our elfyourself performance. I, for one, can shimmy...I am pretty proud of that since I practice every day in front of my mirror, it was a tough perfomance to pull off, but I feel pretty good about it!

Thinking Arbys?

Haha...So dont deny it, you all have had thoughts of arbys or some other fast food joint today. Maybe you quickly snuck through the drive thru....or maybe you are trying to convince someone to go with you now....well that someone isnt me. Sorry friends, but I am on a fast food fast. Thats right...(just for this week...maybe).

I am one of those people who loves fast food because its fast, convienent..and delicious. Curly fries, cant beat them....a fountain drink a plus....everything in my hand in a minute or less....MAGIC!

Knowing that my mouth watering apetite for fast food is not healthy or the cheapest option for my life, I have justified it by using coupons....or not getting fries, or only drinking water.....but thats it, I am done! For this week I promise to not give in to the evil temptation of fast food!

ON the upbeat--I made a total grandma casserole yesterday. I ate it last night for dinner, today at lunch and I will probably be eating it at every meal for the rest of the week!

Dear Santa,

Its me Rachel. I have been a very good girl this year, I promise! I have worked really hard, and played nicely. I made my bed today...and my closet is decently organized (do not refer to picture below in my earlier post). All I want for christmas is...

1. A Specialized road bike
2. A bag of ranch flavored corn-nuts (my fav!) w/ a Diet Coke
3. World Peace
4. And, of course a Hippopatamus!
